Anxiety & Fear – Using hypnosis for Relief -3
This is the 3rd of the 4 posts on using hypnosis for the relief of emotional symptoms such as anxiety & fear. In few weeks I’ll be writing more about how it can be used to get relief from physical symptoms such as migraines & Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
And once again I’d like to thank all of you who have been reading my posts and have signed in and received your first 2 exercises. I have gotten a number of comments on how well they work. Please let me know how they are working for you. Remember it is just a start, for those of you who wrote to say you found amazing results, just imagine how great it will be to learn even more about that wonderful mind of yours. For people who haven’t yet tried the exercises please do it now. We will have each another exercise available shortly, so keep checking back, and reading our posts at the anxietycontrolcenter.com .
It is great for me to know that so many are following my posts. Sometimes on the “net” we don’t know if something is helpful or not until we get your feed back. Please keep sending your questions I’ll continue to post the answers in the following weeks.
Continued from post 2. . . What makes hypnosis such a powerful tool is that by going directly to the subconscious mind, you can get to the underlying root of the problem, and work on changing unconscious beliefs that aren’t working. People who have been in therapy for years without feeling truly free of old “demons” find that they can get major changes in just a few sessions of hypnosis. The type of hypnosis that works best for deeply rooted blocks, I believe. is Ericksonian not classical. hypnosis. If have written other post about the differences. If you have questions on this send them and I’ll go over the differences again.
Classical Hypnosis does have a place in hypno-therapy and combining both Ericksonian and Classical hypnosis with cognitive and behavioral techniques you have a treatment plan that can help you to gain control over your panic. Release anxiety and fear that blocks you from living your life to the fullest. And this combination approach can be used to uncover the reason behind your extra weight or compulsive eating, allowing you to lose weight and keep it off.
It can be used to relieve migraine headaches, fight allergies and combat certain diseases. I have used this approach with people who have a fear of flying, and I continue to get post cards from all over the world. I keep these postcards hanging in my office to give hope to others who think they are stuck with their fears.
I have even used the combination (called the Transformation System) to help my clients release he underlying causes behind procrastination. And of course it has also be used to uplift people who were suffering with depression and grief.
The most important thing about hypnosis is that it doesn’t just treat symptoms, it treats underlying causes. I believe that unless you get rid of the root of the problem, it will manifest again and again, in different forms throughout your life. Hypnosis is the quickest, but not the only way I have found to discover and deal with the roots of the problem. I will continue with the last post in this series in a few days.
